What we collect

Emails

With your permission we email you new places to try. Every message has an unsubscribe link. We never sell or share your email address.

Analytics

We count visits and button taps ourselves, without cookies: a visitor is a one-way hash of IP address and browser that changes every day and is deleted after two days, so we can't follow you from one day to the next. Bots are left out.

We also use Google Analytics to understand how the site is used (pages visited, device type, approximate region). It sets cookies and Google processes the data under its own privacy policy. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland it stays off until you choose Accept; elsewhere it runs by default, and you can block it with Google's opt-out add-on.

Advertising & cookies

We use one session cookie to keep you signed in and protect forms; it's strictly necessary and needs no consent. When advertising is enabled, ad partners including Google use cookies to serve ads. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, no analytics or ad cookies are set unless you accept. Elsewhere you can opt out of personalised ads. Use Cookie choices in the footer (when shown) to change your mind at any time, or visit Google Ads Settings. Sponsored restaurants are labelled on the wheel.

Groups

When you start or join a group, the name you type, the foods you won't eat, the group's location and its own places are visible to everyone with the group link. If you use "Use my location" in a group, the group sees that spot (rounded to about 100 metres). Groups are deleted a day after their last change.

Sharing

If you tap Share, we create a link that shows the restaurant you picked. It contains no personal information about you.

Place data

Restaurant information comes from Google Maps Platform and is subject to Google's terms and privacy policy.
